I am on the steering committee for 'NOAA in the Caribbean', which is forum to improve communication and coordination among NOAA and its partners working in the region. I implement the Essential Fish Habitat provisions of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act for coastal development activities in Florida and the US Caribbean. I represent NOAA as a scientific adviser on a the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s Coral Advisory Panel.
