Passionate about driving positive change in ocean policy, governance, and integrated ocean planning, my work extends beyond a mere paycheck. I have dedicated my career to shaping the future of our blue planet.
As the Ocean Governance and Partnership Coordinator at Global Ocean Accounts Partnership, my role revolves around solving complex oceanic problems governments face and fostering ocean partnerships that profoundly impact sustainable development. From conducting research on ocean cooperative governance to leading successful projects, my diverse background uniquely sets me out for outstanding success with much evidence to show for it.
Recognized for my expertise in the blue economy, sustainable ocean planning and ecosystem-based management, I bring value to ocean policy frameworks and drive positive change. With extensive experience and expertise in these areas, I have worked and collaborated with notable institutions, amongst which are the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, the World Bank Group, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the Economist, UNEP and a host of academic institutions and NGOs to develop innovative strategies and frameworks for our ocean and coasts.
From West and Central Africa to Europe, Indo-Pacific, South East Asia, and the Americas, I have worked across diverse regions, integrating the value of the ocean into policy frameworks and enhancing the sustainability and resilience of ocean resources. Through my work and advisory services to UNESCO IOC, I have played a vital role in shaping best practices in sustainable ocean planning, marine spatial planning, and ecosystem-based management. My colleagues know me for my unwavering dedication and ability to foster strong partnerships, empowering stakeholders, and driving global collaboration for the betterment and resilience of our ocean. Additionally, my work addresses the challenges of climate change, ensuring the effective integration of climate resilience and adaptation strategies into ocean governance practices.
