Carlos Marcelo Paterlini is a Geodetic-Geophysical Engineer, Hydrograph Engineer and Surveyor, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires. His specialty is in Marine Geophysics. He completed his entire R&D career, from 1975 to March 2019 in the Oceanography Department of the Naval Hydrography Service, Ministry of Defense. Between 2002-2012 he became coordinator of the scientific-technical work of COPLA's Technical Subcommittee. As of June 2012 and to date, he is a Member of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, United Nations, Paterlini has an academic career, as a professor in various subjects of his specialty, developed in the faculty of Engineering of the UCA, at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, and currently alone at the Escuela de Ciencias del Mar-UNDEF.
