Activities
My research interests are within the scope of conservation biology with focus on marine invertebrates. I have been involved in research projects oriented towards development of management strategies for highly threatened species (i.e. sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and corals). My latest project generated DNA barcodes and genomic information for commercially-harvested populations of pectinid scallops to aid the development fisheries management schemes in the Visayan Sea region in central Philippines.
