At the inaugural meeting of the ICG/IOTWS RTWP Coordination Group held in Bali, Indonesia, November 2008, it was decided to hold an intersessional meeting of Working Group 5: “a System of Interoperable Advisory and Warning Centres” prior to the sixth session of the ICG/IOTWS, which will be held in Bangkok in April 2009. The Bureau of Meteorology, Melbourne, Australia has kindly agreed to host this meeting 25 - 26 February 2009. At least one session will be devoted to the organisation of the IOWave09 exercise.
