Ability to read and interpret data from seismographs and other monitoring equipment. Experience with software such as SeisComp, JOPENs, and SAC (SeismicAnalysis Code). Understanding the chemical processes involved in ocean acidification, including the dissolution of CO2 in seawater and the formation of carbonic acid, bicarbonate, and carbonate ions.Experience with lab equipment and procedures for analyzing seawater chemistry, such as spectrophotometry and titration.
